Basic contents:

Vector map. Area of species distribution and zones of disease severity are shown by polygons.

Accuracy of classifier:

Quantification of harm of this disease on rye as percent of crop decrease has not been established. Within the limits of distribution, a zone of high disease harm was designated based upon evidence that strong (up to 100%) disease development has been reported. This can result in essential crop losses due to significant losses in the leaf photosynthetic area.

Method of map production:

Scientists were given maps with boundaries of Oblasts and arable lands. After reviewing historic literature, species distribution was hand drawn on maps. If data were on the Oblast-level, distribution is on the Oblast level. In some cases, Oblast.s are further refined by boundaries of the Arable Land Map (Koroljeva et al., 2003). Hand drawn maps were scanned, georeferenced and vectorized. The zone of distribution was identified according to the analysis of the following published data on fungus distribution: Shestiperova & Polozova (1973), Ishkova (2002). The zone of disease harmfulness was allocated based on the work of Shestiperova & Polozova's (1973) which describes significant disease harmfulness in the North of the Russian Federation.
