Map's precision:

The map contains the dates of average daily temperature's transition of 20° C for the period of temperatures' rise for patches of the Earth's surface with the area of 10 x 10 km. The layer has been derived by way of calculation on the basis of the layers of average monthly air temperatures.

Main contents:

A bitmapped map containing the dates of average daily temperature's transition of 20° C for the period of temperatures' rise.

Classifier precision:

Transition dates are expressed as the number of days from the beginning of the year.

Map compilation procedure:

The layer has been derived by way of calculation on the basis of the layers of average monthly air temperatures (Afonin, A.N., Lipiyaynen, K.L., Tsepelev, V.Y., 2006). The calculation followed the general procedure (Losev, А.P., 1994) in the Idrisi program resorting to macro programming. "0" stands for the absence of the transition date because the temperature always higher of the transition temperature, "367" - means the absence of the transition date because the temperature always lower of the transition temperature. "-100" marks the pixels outside the Atlas.
