"Alber's Equal Area Conic for Russia", 9, 1001, 7, 100, 0, 44, 68, 0, 0.Basic contents:
Vector maps: Areas of continuous cultivation are represented by polygons. Territories, which situated far from general area, are represented by points.Accuracy of the qualifier:
Maps were created on the base of generalized information about species distribution from published sourses (accuracy till regions). The technique of drawing up of a map:
The area map was made on the base of literature data (Atlas, 1960; Atlas, 1984; State, 1994, 2004). Area for the USSR goes till 60° of northern latitude (Zhukovskij, 1971; Vehov, 1978; Kolesnikova et al., 1986). The main regions of cultivation cover Moldova, Ukraine, Belorussia, Baltic States, middle part of Russia (Vladimir, Tula, Moscow, Ivanovo, Orel, Briansk, Kursk), regions adjoining to Volga, Northern Caucasus (Bahteev, 1970; Yushev, 2001). Plantings are in Transcaucasia and Middle Asia States (Vitkovskij, 2003). Cherry is cultivated also in northern regions, where sum of active temperature (above 10°C) more than 1700°C, but in less quantity (Yushev, 2001). Places situated far from the base area are marked by points (Salamatov, 1959; Barsukov, Suhatskaja, 1984).Sources of the data:
