Date of creation:

1:20,000,000.Accuracy of a map:
Created using map of gardens of the USSR with the scale 1: 20,000,000.Projection:
"Alber's Equal Area Conic for Russia" 9, 1001, 7, 100, 0, 44, 68, 0, 0Basic contents:
Vector map of area consists of 3 layers: polygons show territories of continuous distribution of species, belt of species; territories situated far from general area are represented by points.Accuracy of classifier:
Created on the basis of generalized information about species distribution from published sources, taking into account arable territory for USSR.Method of map production:
The area map was created on the basis of garden map for USSR (Atlas, 1984) and literature data (State, 1994, 2004). Species is cultivated to the south from line: Priozersk (Leningrad region) - Vologda - Chuhloma (Kostromskaja region) - Kirov - Ufa - Astrakhan. - along Caspian coast, over Kopet-Dag, Zeravshan, Gissar and others; mountain ridge of Tadzhikistan (Vitkovskij, 1993, 2003). Most widely it is cultivated in the gardens of south Belarus, Moldova, Ukraine, Caucasus, southern European part of Russia. Species is cultivated in Middle Asia also, but without high industrial importance (Bahteev, 1970; Vehov, 1978). By VIR Herbarium data species is cultivated in Sverdlovsk region and on the Far East (where ussurijsk form of plum is usually cultivated).Reference citations:
