According to the method of Vlasov & Larina (1982), two zones of severity of the Oat pseudorosette rhabdovirus are established. In the zone of moderate severity, the disease development in oat does not exceed 20-30% and epiphytoties are rare. In the zone of low severity, the disease development does not exceed 10%.Method of map production:
The area and severity zones have been marked on a blank map by results of the analysis of the published materials. The zone of moderate severity includes Bashkortostan, Western Siberia and Kemerovo Region in East Siberia, and the Primorskii Territory. There is low disease severity of the Oat pseudorosette rhabdovirus on the rest of the territory of gray cereal growing in Kamchatka, Sakhalin, in the Northern parts of Kazakhstan, in Kirov, Chelyabinsk, and Kurgan Regions of Rusiia (Dubonosov et al, 1975; Panarin, 1985; Tsyplenkov, 1999). The correction of severity zones was performed by the vector map of the largest arable land distribution within the territory of the Former Soviet Union (Koroleva et al., 2003).Sources of the data:
