The area represents the disease distribution, where the Halo Blight Bacteriosis has been revealed on oats according to scientific publications. The zone of the disease high severity is determined in those regions where epiphytotics arise sporadically, and oats may be damaged by 25-35% or more.Method of map production:
The map is compiled by results of the analysis of the open published materials. Specification of the disease area borders is executed on the oats distribution map that is proposed by Koroleva, I.A., et al. (2003). The disease distribution is shown on a map of the former USSR. Halo Blight Bacteriosis of Oats is widespread in all territories of the former Soviet Union, northward to Kola Peninsula (Gorlenko & Naidenko, 1944; Gorlenko, 1947, 1949, 1966; Pavlova-Ivanova & Chumaevskaya, 1977; Voronkevich, 1977; Shpaar et al., 1980; Pavlova-Ivanova, 1985a; Yagudin & Shklyar, 1979; Chumaevskaya, 1982, 1984; Bilai et al., 1988). There are data on its presence in Leningrad, Voronezh, Kostroma, Pavlodar, Omsk, Moscow, and other regions, in Altai Territory, Bashkortostan (Gorlenko, 1966; Bushkova, 1968, 1971; Soldatov, 1970; Chumaevskaya & Pavlova-Ivanova, 1976b; Pavlova-Ivanova & Chumaevskaya, 1977; Nikitina & Preobrazhenskaya, 1977; Chumaevskaya, 1982, 1984; Pavlova-Ivanova, 1985a, 1985b; Tsvetkova et al., 1993), in Belarus (Chumaevskaya & Pavlova-Ivanova, 1976a; Pavlova-Ivanova & Chumaevskaya, 1977; Chumaevskaya, 1984; Pavlova-Ivanova, 1985a), Moldova (Nikitina & Preobrazhenskaya, 1977), Ukraine (Bel.tukova, 1949; Nikitina & Preobrazhenskaya, 1977; Koroleva, 1989; Pasichnik & Khodos, 1996). Within the limits of the species area, the zone of disease severity covering the Voronezh and Moscow Regions is allocated (Gorlenko, 1966; Pavlova-Ivanova, 1985b).Reference citations:
