Vector map consisting of 3 thematic layers where area and zones of severity are shown by polygons.Accuracy of classifier:
In the disease area the zones of moderate (26-50%) and high incidence (51% to 100% of plants are affected by E. betae) are outlined within the area of industrial cultivation of sugar beet (Krutova N.P. et al.,1973).Method of map production:
Distribution is marked on a blank map for all areas of sugar beet cultivation (I.E. Koroleva et al., 2003). Borders of zone of high severity in Russia (Voronezh, Belgorod, Tambov, Lipetsk Region, Krasnodar Territory), in Moldova, Kirghizia, Kazakhstan, in some regions of Ukraine, and in Georgia are defined after data of Popova (1968), Bondarenko (1965), Al.khovskaya (1969), Pozhar (1963), Lipgardt (1981), Kovbasyuk (1985), Zhukova (1967). Moderate severity of the disease is reported in Ukraine (Vinnytsya Region), in Penza Region and in North Ossetia-Alania (Popova, 1969). Registration and vectoring of raster maps are executed by standard means of GIS-technologies.Reference citations:
