In the disease area the zone of high severity (more than 26% of plants are affected by the Root Rot) is outlined. The zone is marked according to method by A.E.Chumakov & T.I.Zakharova (1990).Procedure of map drawing:
The disease area is shown on a blank map on the base of published references. The disease is widely distributed in all regions of the country where the culture of cucumber is growing in open and protected ground. The area is corrected according with the map of Cucumis sativus (Terekhova, 2005) and map of arable lands (Koroleva et al., 2003). In Russia the greatest harm it causes in Northwest and Central Regions, Karelia and Komi Republics (Lopukhina, 1977), in Krasnodar Territory (Grin.ko, 2002), Volga Region, Western and Eastern Siberia (Chelyabinsk and Chita Regions, Yakutia), and Primorskii Territory and Sakhalin Region in the Far East (Osnitskaya, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971). Outside Russia it is known in Baltic States (Zemite, 1971; Lyiveke, 1972), Moldova (Marzhina, 1984), Ukraine (Grin.ko, 2002), Azerbaijan (Ragimov, 1977), and Kazakhstan (Karbozova, 1993).Sources of the data:
