The vector map is composed of 3 thematic layers. Zones of distribution and severity are shown by polygons.

Accuracy of classifier.

The disease area is divided into zones of low, moderate, and high severity within the area of industrial pea-growing.

Procedure of map drawing.

Zones of the Aphanomyces disease severity are drawn on a blank map by results of the analysis of published materials. Borders of the zones with different severity are allocated with use of the criteria stated in publications (Kotova, 1979; Kirpicheva, 1990). Soil humidification is the main criterion of allocation of the zones. In the zone of high severity the average annual resources of moisture are 200-250 mm (annual development of the disease is to 60%), in the zone of moderate severity they are 175-200 mm (the disease epiphytoties occur 1-2 times per 2-3 years), and in the zone of low severity they are 150-175 mm (the disease develops in foci).
