Scale.

1: 20 000 000.

Accuracy of map.

It is created on information taken from the map of scale 1: 33 000 000.

Projection.

"Alber's Equal Area Conic for the USSR", 9, 1001, 7, 100, 0, 44, 68, 0, 0.

Basic contents.

The vector map is composed of 4 thematic layers being shown by polygons.

Accuracy of the classifier.

The area of distribution is divided into zones of high, moderate, and low severity. In the zone of high severity the disease is widespread, reaching extent of development 50% and more; in the zone of moderate severity the Cercosporosis development does not exceed 50%; in the zone of low severity the disease meets seldom and its development is lower than 25%.

Procedure of the map drawing.

The area of distribution and zones of the fungus severity are is drawn by results of the analysis of the published data and cartographical material (Kronberg, 1971; Zaostrovnykh et al., 2003; Naumova, 1988; Zhukovskaya et al., 1990; Murav.eva, 1985; Sebto, 1969). The disease area includes all areas of industrial cultivation of soya (map by I.E. Koroleva et al., 2003). The zone of high severity covers arable lands occupied with crops of soya in Primorskii Territory; the zone of moderate severity is located in Stavropol Territory, Chechen Republic, Amur Region, and Khabarovsk Territory. Ukraine, Moldova and some regions of Russia (Volgograd, Rostov Region, Krasnodar Territory, Kursk, Saratov, and Samara Regions) belong to the zone of low severity, where the Cercosporosis development does not exceed 25%. Vectoring of the scanned raster map is carried out by standard GIS-technologies.
