Date of creation:

1:20 000 000.Accuracy of map:
It is created on information taken from the open published literature and maps of scale 1: 33 000 000.Projection:
"Alber's Equal Area Conic for the USSR", 9, 1001, 7, 100, 0, 44, 68, 0, 0.Basic content:
Vector map consists of two thematic layers describing a zone of distribution and zone of high disease severity on soybean.Accuracy of the classifier:
The area represents the disease distribution where the Bacterial Spot (Bacterial Burn) of Soybean has been revealed according to scientific publications. The zone of high disease severity is determined in those regions where epiphytotics arise sporadically, and more than 20% of plants are diseased.Method of map production:
The map is compiled by results of the analysis of the open published materials. The disease is widely distributed in all territories of the former USSR, where this culture is growing; i.e., in the Far East (Primorskii Territory), the Lower Volga region, Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories (Vzorov, 1938; Izrail.skii, 1960; Nikitina, 1962; Gorlenko, 1947, 1949, 1966; Matveeva & Ostrogskaya, 1966; Solotchina, 1966; Solotchina & Pekhtereva, 1966; Kotova et al., 1969; Kiryukhina, 1979; Podkina et al, 1980; Korsakov, 1982; Bilai et al., 1988; Pavlyushin, 2006), and also in Ukraine (Yagudin, Shklyar, 1979; Koroleva, 1981; Korsakov, 1982; Bilai et al., 1988; Shchelko et al., 1988). The zone of high severity includes the Chernovtsy Region (Ukraine) with the percentage of amount of diseased plants of 75-100%, and also the Primorskii Territory (the Far East) with the amount of the infected plants up to 40%, although 70-100% in some years, with reduction of yield by 25% or more (Nikitina, 1962; Solotchina, 1966; Solotchina & Pekhtereva, 1966; Bilai et al., 1988). Specification of configuration of borders of the disease area is executed on a map of distribution of the soybean, proposed by D.I. Rukhovich (2003).Reference citations:
