The area represents the disease distribution where the Holo Blight of bean has been revealed according to scientific publications. The zone of high disease severity is determined in those regions where epiphytotics arise sporadically and more than 20% of the plants are diseased.Method of map production:
The map is compiled by results of the analysis of the open published materials. The disease is widely distributed in all territories of the former USSR, where this culture is growing; i.e., in Russian Federation (Vzorov, 1938; Gorlenko, 1947, 1949, 1966, 1971; Gerasimov & Osnitskaya, 1961; Kiryukhina, 1979; Shpaar et al., 1980; Korsakov, 1982; Bilai et al., 1988; Pavlyushin, 2006), Uzbekistan, Moldova, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine (Vzorov, 1938; Gorlenko, 1947, 1949, 1971; Izrail.skii, 1960; Kazenas, 1965; Kiryukhina, 1979; Korsakov, 1982; Bilai et al., 1988). The zone of high disease severity is distinguished, including Moldova (Gorlenko, 1966; Kunichenko, 1985).
