Date of creation:

1:20 000 000.Accuracy of map:
It is created on information taken from the map of scale 1:33 000 000.Projection:
"Alber's Equal Area Conic for the USSR", 9, 1001, 7, 100, 0, 44, 68, 0, 0.Basic contents:
Vector map is composed of 3 thematic layers. Zones of distribution and severity are shown by polygons.Accuracy of the classifier:
The area of TSWV area is divided into three zones of severity according to the published materials (Vlasova, 1982, 1983). In the zone of high severity, the disease distribution on tobacco, tomato, and Solanaceae cultures is 20-40% or more, and epiphytotics are frequent; in the zone of moderate severity, the virus distribution does not exceed 20%, and epiphytotics are rare. In the zone of low severity, the disease development does not exceed 10%.Method of map production:
The area and severity zones have been marked on a blank map by results of the analysis of the published materials. The zone of high severity includes the Crimea, Adler and Sochi Districts, Transcaucasia. The zone of moderate severity includes Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia. The zone of low damage is marked in Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Moldova, Ukraine, North Caucasus (Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories, Belgorod, Voronezh, Kursk, Penza, Tambov, Rostov Regions), Volga region (Eristavi, 1941; Vlasov & Larina, 1982; Samsonova et al., 2001). The vector map of the largest arable land distribution within the territory of the Former Soviet Union has been also used for the correction of severity zones (Koroleva et al., 2003).Reference citations:
