Date of creation:

1:20,000,000.Accuracy of map:
Map was created using maps to the natural scale of 1:38,000,000.Projection:
"Alber.s Equal Conica for the USSR", 9, 1001, 7, 100, 0, 44, 68, 0, 0.Basic content:
Vector map, which consists of 4 layers. Area of distribution and zones of harmfulness are shown by polygons.Accuracy of the classifier:
Within the area of distribution, 3 zones of harmfulness were established, each with different numbers of A. agrarius yet all of which experience losses of grain crops. Gradations of numbers are cited after E.V.Karaseva et al. (1992) with modification. Zone of low damage is characterized by relative numbers 1% to 6% of catches of rodents per 100 traps/day. In zones of moderate and high damage, this index is 6% to 15%, and 15% to 30% or greater, respectively.Mapping procedure:
Maps from publications of N.A. Bobrinsky et al. (1965) and V.E. Flint et al. (1970) were used in defining the area of A. agrarius, with specifications made according to E.V. Karaseva et al. (1992) and I.Ya. Pavlinov et al. (2002), as these later authors noted changes in species distribution during the last 30-40 years. The boundaries of the zones of damage are shown according to the map taken from the publication of E.V.Karaseva et al. (1992). The maps were scanned. Registration and vectorization of their raster copies were performed using standard GIS-technologies.Sources of data:
