It is created on materials of the map with scale 1:33 000 000, on the basis of information taken from literature.Projection:

Vector map, which consists of 3 thematic layers. Area of distribution and zone of damage are shown by polygons.Accuracy of the classifier:
Threshold of harmfulness of the E. chrysomelina on melons and gourds is 1-3 adults and larvae per 1 sq. m. Within the area of distribution, the zones of low and moderate damage are established; in the zone of moderate damage, harmfulness of E. chrysomelina is 3 points under the 5-point scale of harmfulness (Polyakov et al., 1982).Method of map production:
Data from the open publications are used for allocation of area and zones of pest damage. In the former USSR, the species is distributed in Transcaucasia (in a zone of sagebrush semi-deserts in Azerbaijan and Nakhichevan) and Middle Asia (in southern part of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan and in the West of Tajikistan (Vinogradova, 1950; Glushenkov, 1951; Samedov, 1963; Igamberdiev, 1966, 1967; Ataeva, 1972; Tilavov, 1985). The pest area is located southward of the latitude 42°N. The zone of low damage includes major melon and gourd growing territories in Azerbaijan (Samedov, 1963). The zone of moderate damage includes Ashgabat, Mary, Charjew, Dashhowuz Regions of Turkmenistan; Samarqand, Bukhara, Surkhandaryo, Qashqadaryo Regions of Uzbekistan; Dushanbe and Kulob Regions of Tajikistan (Vinogradova, 1950; Glushenkov, 1951; Igamberdiev, 1966, 1967; Ataeva, 1972; Polyakov, 1982; Tilavov, 1985).Reference citations:
