Date of creation:
10.12.2007.Scale:
1:20 000 000.Accuracy of map:
It is created on information taken from the open-published literature and maps of scale 1: 33 000 000.Projection:
"Alber's Equal Area Conic for the USSR", 9, 1001, 7, 100, 0, 44, 68, 0, 0.Basic content:
Vector map consisting of 2 layers. Area and zone of damage are shown by polygons.Accuracy of the classifier:
Within the limits of the general area, the zone of low damage only is allocated. The quantitative data on the Bushcricket harmfulness are not found.Method of map production:
The map is compiled by results of the analysis of the open published materials. The species area is outlined according to reference data on its distribution (Shelyuzhko, 1932; Mishchenko, 1949; Belikov, 1950; Avetyan, 1952; Grivanov, 1958; Shkhashamishev, 1967; Kryshtal., 1973; Kopysov, 1974; Polyakov & Kopaneva, 1980; Kopaneva, 1987; Storozhenko, 2004; etc.). The northern border of the species area in the European part passes from Pushkin, Leningrad Region (observations of authors; see photo), through Moscow and Vyatskie Polyany, Kirov Region, to Middle Ural (Grivanov & Zakharov, 1958; Nikulin, 1969; Ermolenko, 1971; Kryshtal., 1973; Kopysov, 1974; etc.), includes Transcaucasia (Shchegolev et al., 1934; Avetyan, 1952; Kobakhidze, 1957; Shkhashamishev, 1967), the south of Siberia from Ural to Tomsk, Barnaul, and Mountain Altai (Bei-Bienko, 1926; Kopaneva, 1987; Storozhenko, 2004), Kazakhstan and Central Asia (Mishchenko, 1949; Kharin, 1984). Sandy deserts and high mountains of the Caucasus, North Caspian region, Kazakhstan, and Central Asia (after Barysheva et al., 1992) are excluded from the area. The references used show that the main zone of damage embraces arable lands in the Black Sea region of Ukraine, in the Azov Sea region and foothill parts of the Northern Caucasus and in Transcaucasia, where the zone of Bushcricket low damage is outlined. The zone of damage is allocated with the use of arable land map for the former USSR (Koroleva et al., 2003).Reference citations:
