The species distribution area was determined using species locations reported by the L.E. herbarium and published maps from Malyshev & Peshkova (1990), Grossheim (1939) and Shelyag-Sosonko (1977). Within the European part of the former USSR, the species is distributed throuhgout the steppe and forest-steppe zone. In Ural and in Western Siberia, the species occurs in the forest-steppe and mixed-wood zones. In addition, the species is distributed throughout the Caucasus, except Colchis and the Kura lowlands.Sources of data:
