The map is based on data of 1:20 000 000 and 1:25 000 000 scale maps, corrected according to herbarium materials.Projection:
"Albers Equal-Area Conic Projection for USSR", 9, 1001, 7, 100, 0, 44, 68, 0, 0Basic contents:
Map is a vector fail consisting of polygon and points. Locations of species are represented by points; area of possible distribution of species are represented by polygon.Accuracy of the qualifier:
Light-colored points are locations referenced in literature sources.Dark dots represent information on the species localities according to herbarium materials of V.L.Komarov Botanical Institute [LE] and N.I.Vavilov All-Russian Institute of Plant Industry [WIR]. Polygon is based on generalized information from literature sources, herbarium specimens, political boundaries and ecological description.Method of the map construction:
In the forest zone, the species is distributed almost everywhere as a component of the herbaceous cover of shady forests. The species range consists of two polygons: European-Asian and Caucasian. The latter includes points of the species localities in the Caucasus, the former in the European part of Russia, in both West and East Siberia. Northward the species reaches Kola Peninsula, eastward the Baikal Lake. The species distribution in the south is limited by dry steppes, the western border of the European-Asian polygon coincides with the state boundary of Russia. Herbarium materials of LE and WIR and published maps of the species range (Hulten,1986; Grossgeim, 1952), made the base for the range map construction.References:
