Date of creation:

1:20,000,000.Accuracy of map:
Map was created using herbarium specimens and maps of scale 1:10,000,000.The projection:
"Alber's Equal Area Conic for Russia", 9, 1001, 7, 100, 0, 44, 68, 0, 0.Basic contents:
Vector map consisting of polygons and points. Locations of the species are represented by points. The area of possible species distribution is represented by polygons.Accuracy of classifier:
Light-colored points represent species locations referenced in published sources. Dark-colored points represent locations from which herbarium samples were taken (N.I. Vavilov Institute, Voronezh State Biosphere Reserve, Rostov State University, Uljanovsk State Pedagogical University). Polygon is based on generalized information from published sources, herbarium specimens, political boundaries and ecological descriptions.Method of map production:
Published literature was reviewed, including atlases, monographs and papers. Occurrence data were obtained from herbarium specimens, floras, monographs and papers. Species location and distribution area were determined using published maps and herbarium materials (N.I. Vavilov Institute, Voronezh State Biosphere Reserve, Rostov State University, Uljanovsk State Pedagogical University, Komarov Botanical Institute). Distribution was determined using the following sources: Malyshev & Peshkova (1979), Peshkova (1996), Shishkin (1951), Bobrov & Tsvelev (1964), Minjaev (1981), Cherepanov (1995), Galushko (1980), Grossgheim (1967), and Talovina (2000). Data were then compiled through scanning and geo-referencing to develop a composite vector map. The biologist, together with the GIS-specialist, drew a new plant distribution area based on compiled data.Reference Citations:
