Annual herbaceous plant. Stems 10-30 cm tall, simple or branched, solitary or 3-5, pubescent. Stipules subulate. Leaves narrow-linear on setose petioles. Inflorescences spike-like heads on setose peduncles. Calyx densely pubescent. Corolla pink. Fruit is a scarious pod with 1 seed. Flowers in June, fruits in July. Autogamous plant. 2n=14, 16.Distribution.
Southern Crimea, Caucasus.Ecology.
In dry meadows and shrubberies. Up to middle mountain zone.Economic value.
