Scale:

1:20,000,000.

Accuracy of map:

Map was created based on information taken from open-published literature and maps of scale 1:13,000,000 - 1:80,000,000.

Projection:

"Alber's Equal Area Conic for Russia" 9, 1001, 7, 100, 0, 44, 68, 0, 0

Basic contents:

Vector map. Area of distribution is shown by polygons (main distribution) and by points (sporadic distribution). Zone of harmfulness is shown by polygons.

Accuracy of classifier:

The weed area is subdivided into zones of main distribution and harm and places of sporadic distribution.

Method of map production:

The map was drawn according to results of the analysis of open-published cartographical materials and literature. The map from Hulten & Fries (1986) was used as a basis. The northern boundaries of area were outlined according to the atlas "Areas of the major weed plants in the USSR", 1935 (Volkov A.N., Ed.) and other sources (Dorogostaiskaya E.V., 1972; Keys to vascular plants of Komi SSR, 1962; Keys to plants of Byelorussia, 1967; Mal.tsev A.I., 1937; Maevskii, 1954; Ramenskaya, 1960) and herbarial materials. The eastern area has been corrected according to results of the analysis of literature data (Areas of distribution.., 1935; Keys to plants of Novosibirsk Region, 2000; Ul.yanova, 1998; Popov, 1957; Polozhii, 1953; Flora of Transbaikalia, 1969; Keys to weed plants of Cisbaikalia, 1969), according to map of arable lands, and confirmed by points taken from Hulten & Fries (1986). The southern border was drawn accordig to results of the analysis of maps (Hulten E., Fries M., 1986; Areas of distribution ., 1935; Vul.f, 1951; Geideman, 1954; Keys to vascular plants of the Crimea, 1972; Keys to vascular plants of Ukraine, 1987). Places of sporadic distribution were specified according to literature data (Bakin O.V., Rogova T.V., Sitnikov A.P., 2000; Grigor'evskaya A.Ya., 2000; Galushko, 1978; Grossgeim, 1939) and herbarial materials. The zone of harm was allocated according to literature data (Nikitin, 1983; Ul.yanova, 1998).
